Competing to buy things you think will be beneficial

Material Competition - Winning is better than losing, but everybody loses when the war isn’t one worth fighting.
Fighting for material things that are not strictly necessary is pathetic, wrong, self-destructive, non-productive and adding to a world of undifferentiated trends.
You must be you, and get what you need, but not buy things or compete to obtain things just because you think that’s how you should be in the outside world. You must be you because confidence and happiness is contained within you. Of course if you prefer a life whereby you’re constantly anxious and unhappy then go ahead.
The majority of the population would disagree with this because of the ideology of competition.

Compete or come from a position of authenticity with stable confidence.
